The District on Howard Avenue will bring a combination of retail stores, restaurants, clubs and residential housing to the area. The development will be stylish and modern but will reflect the essence of the original downtown southern charm.
Once completed the District on Howard Avenue will house several hundred people, provide hundreds of jobs and create a vibrant community where people can live and work all within walking distance to the best things the coast has to offer. The area should provide housing for many of the casino employees who currently are forced to drive many miles to find acceptable housing.
The District on Howard Avenue will provide the much-needed springboard for other developers to obtain financing and secure tenants for future developments encompassing the entire downtown area. It’s not hard to imagine downtown Biloxi once again becoming the most desirable place to live and work on the Mississippi coast.
